Letters of Appreciation
I am so pleased to hear of your association’s 30th anniversary and Appreciation Day for your members. What many of the public do not know, is that Educational Assistants and Child and Youth Workers are the social/behavioral glue that holds students with special or behavioral needs together in the school setting.
Executive Director, Education, Culture, Training Delivery PSHSA
First, congratulations on the 30th Anniversary of the Educational Assistants Association. On behalf of PSHSA, I would like to commend Educational Assistants and Child Youth Workers (EAs/CYWs) across the province for their commitment to students and the greater school population.
Anne and I first became aware of your profession during our first IPRC meeting October 1996. Our son, Art, was placed in a regular early-years’ classroom in our local rural school, with the description of a “physically able-bodied, high energy boy who challenges authority and has cognitive/receptive language skills greater than expressive language skills”.
