LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD
We are receiving many emails with your concerns regarding returning to “in school learning.”
In spite of the fact that all schools are closed and daily variants are on the rise, our Congregated ACE Members are being asked to return to work.
We are advocating to the Board, our local MPPs and the Provincial Working Groups in this regard. If you have concerns and you want to support your colleagues, please take the time to reach out to your local MPP office.
You can also cc: Premier Ford and Minister Lecce on your correspondence.
In conversation with Laura Mae’s office this afternoon, they have indicated they would like to hear from you. Please send your concerns to the following email addresses:
Laura Mae Lindo – firstname.lastname@example.org
Catherine Fife- email@example.com
Minister Stephen Lecce – firstname.lastname@example.org
Premier Doug Ford – email@example.com
Mike Harris Jr. – firstname.lastname@example.org
Amy Fee – email@example.com

“To Whom It May Concern:
As an Ontario voter and (EA, Teacher, Parent, CYW) I am extremely concerned that Special Education staff and students are returning to school in-person.
The presence of the more aggressive and contagious Variants Of Concerns will most negatively impact those who are most vulnerable. The inability to follow COVID safety precautions adds another layer of risk to all who will be in close contact.
I understand that it’s tempting to say that this decision is “hard” and “complex.” But, in the end, it is not: the government has declared that schools cannot safely reopen, and thus they cannot be reopened for anyone.
I trust that my concerns will be taken seriously and implore you to act with the health and safety of these Special Education staff and students in mind.
Thank you for taking the time to do this if you feel it is appropriate for you and please take care,
Colleen Dietrich Sisson
