Hello and welcome EAA Members to your Virtual Self-Directed PD Day,
We recognize the unique and unusual set of circumstances in which we are presenting our Professional Development Day. It is yet another example of the professionalism and flexibility you all present during your day and the valuable work you do. We will be sending out a survey regarding our PD, that we encourage you all to complete. We are always striving for future improvement.
Our PD is designed to be self-directed. These are tools and resources that you can continue to access over the year. We offered a variety of workshops, tutorials, and webinars that will provide strategies and support for our own self-care and continued support of your students. Here is a link for all the Online Self-Directed PD Resources for you to engage in today. Please click on the following link. PD Online Resources
Our work is important. We are the front-line staff. Our work can be challenging and emotional at times. We give so much of ourselves to our students and our school communities. We are always thinking of our students and putting their needs first. Each of you impact our students every single day. We enable them to reach their goals. We help and celebrate with our students as they find success. So, it may sound redundant, but we hope each of you know how incredibly important, valuable, and appreciated each of you are.
At this time, we would like to take a moment to thank the entire PD Committee. They have worked through the summer to create the PD Day. They have given a huge amount of time, work, and commitment to ensure we have something that we feel will offer all of you resources and support moving forward in these unusual times. Thank you: Carrie Frickey, Donna Jeske, Tina Quinlan, Lynn Wilson, Jenn Engel, Colleen Dietrich Sisson and Lisa Weiler Haskins. We would also like to thank the EAA Executive Committee for their help and support as we planned this day.
